In the inaugural episode of The Assignment, David and Colby review the Pats-Jets game, preview the weekend’s best games and engage in some general NFL tomfoolery for your entertainment pleasure.
We don’t have much for you today along the lines of interesting things to link to or discuss in the post,1 so we’ll just jump you right into correcting our mistakes and/or things we didn’t know during the episode. Other than that, enjoy!
Also, it’s only an hour this time. Yay us, congratulations you.
Thanks for listening.
Even secret agents occasionally make mistakes. When we screw up, we’ll correct ourselves here and then go about our day as if it never happened.
In this week’s Assignment, the only confusion we can recall is the injury report on the Bills’ secondary studs, corner Stephon Gilmore and safety Jarius Byrd, and a few Packers injuries on the defensive side of the ball, in addition to tight end Jermichael Finley.
Gilmore has yet to participate in practice this week, I anticipate he’ll be out this weekend, while Byrd has been limited.
Packers’ safety Morgan Burnett and cornerback Jarrett Bush have both been limited in practice and still seem to have a chance to play. Another secondary player, corner Casey Hayward, has already been declared out for this week. Finley’s status is still unsettled, but he is currently penciled in the lineup and on the path towards playing.
